Own the fixed-income business plan, P&L and budget proposal. Define client segments, the initial issuer and instrument universe, ticket sizes, pricing, liquidity expectations and the sequence for adding markets.
Select and negotiate brokerage, dealer, RFQ, custody and data partners. Compare API-based bond infrastructure, multi-asset carrying brokers and institutional venues; agree distribution rights, execution responsibilities and exit options.
Build executable pricing and the client economics model, including clean and dirty price, accrued interest,ndenomination, minimum size, yield to maturity, yield to worst, commissions or markups, FX and settlement costs.
Work with Legal, Compliance and Risk on instrument eligibility, credit and concentration limits, conflicts, best execution, disclosures and the distinction between government bills, credit products, funds and deposits.
Deliver security master data, day-count conventions, coupon schedules, settlement, cash flows, maturities, calls, corporate events and default or restructuring handling with Operations and Engineering. Establish independent valuation and reconciliation requirements.
Design the trading and service model for retail tickets and institutional blocks. Distinguish agency execution from principal inventory, disclose size-dependent liquidity and agree funding and hedging requirements before taking any inventory risk.
Build distribution to brokers, banks, treasury buyers and direct investors with Sales. Train Sales and Support, recruit the specialist team and improve product breadth, execution and service using client demand and contribution economics.
Requirements
Evidence of launching or scaling a fixed-income brokerage, electronic distribution or investment product business with responsibility for execution access, operations and commercial results.
Deep practical knowledge of government and corporate bonds, credit and duration, accrued interest, yield conventions, denominations, coupon and maturity events, calls and liquidity by trade size.
Experience working with bond dealers, carrying or custody partners, RFQ or electronic venues and the relevant instrument and pricing data providers.
Ability to design a controlled client product, negotiate partner economics and lead delivery across Operations, Treasury, Risk, Legal, Product and Engineering.
Strong institutional client communication, team leadership and professional English. A credit research, portfolio management or trading background should include demonstrable brokerage or product-building experience.
