Responsibilities

Multi-Entity Financial Reporting & Audit

  • Lead the preparation, review, and finalisation of IFRS financial statements for Group entities across multiple jurisdictions
  • Hands on experience in accoutning and bookeeping with multi jurisdiction exposure
  • Manage simultaneous statutory audit cycles with Big 4 and tier-2 audit firms, owning the audit timetable, deliverables, and partner / manager relationships
  • Drive resolution of complex IFRS technical matters including IFRS 9 (financial instruments, SPPI, derivative bifurcation), IFRS 16 (leases), IAS 7 (cash flow statement), IAS 10 (post-balance-sheet events), IAS 32 (equity vs. liability classification), and emerging topics such as crypto / stablecoin asset classification
  • Coordinate consolidation and elimination workings; ensure consistency of accounting policies across entities

    Regulatory Compliance & Capital Adequacy

  • Prepare and review regulatory submissions including, but not limited to: DFSA PIB Annual Returns and Category 2 capital adequacy calculations; CySEC IFR / CRR returns; etc.
  • Track and respond to regulatory change (e.g. CySEC circulars, DFSA Consultation Papers, MiCA transition)
  • Monitor regulatory capital, support capital injection planning, and remediate any identified shortfalls
  • Liaise with external regulatory consultants and home / host regulators where required

    Risk Management & Brokerage Operations Support

  • Assist with the Risk Management Function on the annual report, ICAAP / IRAP-equivalent processes, and capital planning
  • Provide finance input on EMIR / EMIR REFIT reporting, MiFIR, and counterparty exposure
  • Support pricing, margin, and P&L analysis of CFD / FX / Prime of Prime / liquidity provision activities
  • Establish and monitor safeguardign requirements across multiple jurisdictions

    Automation & AI Implementation (mandatory)

  • Identify, design, and deliver automation and AI-driven improvements across reconciliation, reporting, audit support, regulatory submission, and tax / TP workflows
  • Build and maintain custom AI workflows, prompts, and skills (including structured outputs, retrieval, and document generation pipelines)
  • Implement AI / MCP / API integrations across the Group's core stack (e.g. accounting software, Atlassian, Slack, Google Drive, regulatory portals where API-accessible)
  • Champion AI-native ways of working across the Finance, Accounting, Audit & Tax team; build internal documentation, playbooks, and reusable skills / templates

Requirements

Obligatory

  • Minimum 5 years of post-qualification experience in finance, audit, or accounting
  • Qualified accountant: ACA / ACCA / CPA or recognised equivalent strong advantage
  • Demonstrable hands-on experience and understanding with CySEC or DFSA-regulated entities (PIB Annual Return; Category 2 / 3A capital adequacy)
  • Experience with Risk Management Function and producing or reviewing risk-related regulatory deliverables
  • Experience working with CFD / FX / brokerage / Prime of Prime / institutional liquidity provision firms
  • Experience preparing and submitting regulatory returns in DFSA and/or CySEC
  • Multi-jurisdictional finance experience across Cyprus, UAE and/or other jurisdictions
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting and ERP / finance software (e.g. QuickBooks, Xero, NetSuite, SAP, Oracle, or comparable)
  • Mandatory AI capability: daily, sophisticated use of AI tools such as Claude or ChatGPT for finance work; demonstrable ability to build custom prompts, skills, and workflows; ability to integrate AI with core systems via APIs / MCP servers
  • Excellent written and spoken English; ability to communicate confidently with regulators, auditors, and senior internal stakeholders

Preferably

• Big 4 audit training (Deloitte / EY / KPMG / PwC) — strongly preferred
• Additional qualifications: CFA, ADIT, or tax-specialist certification
• Experience with MiCA and EU crypto / digital asset regulatory frameworks
• Experience with Atlassian (Jira / Confluence) and Slack-native finance operations
• Experience with Python, VBA, or Power Automate for finance automation (note: AI-led automation is the primary focus, not RPA/scripting alone)
• Prior held regulatory required positions (DFSA and/or CySEC and/or FCA)
